To celebrate the launch of the SF Mantis Chair, the second release of our Small Batch Series, we decided to seek out rare, unusual, and sometimes hard to reach locations in SF where ONLY the Alite Mantis chair could accompany you for a comfy hang sesh. Here is the third part in our four-part series.
Location #3: Strawberry Hill
We took our easy to pack SF Mantis Chairs up to Strawberry Hill in Golden Gate Park. Bordered by Stow Lake, Strawberry Hill is a popular spot for its waterfalls, great city views, and on some nights, even ghost sightings on the lake...
On the hunt for a place to rest our Mantis chair legs.
DK found the first spot, but wasn't completely sure how this would work out.
Why just look at nature from the sidelines when you can get right in the game?
This was definitely our most daring spot yet, but getting to look down on a waterfall was pretty amazing.
Walking back past Stow Lake, we stuck out our thumbs and caught a ride for our next small space test. Two paddleboat pilots were kind enought to give us a small royalty parade style tour around Stow Lake before delivering us back to dry land. The chairs made a nice thrown for this jaunt.
DK sacrificed one dry boot for this adventure. (not shown: DK almost going in left leg first...)
We were definitely the lowest riding, but most comfortable (ok, only) paddle boat passengers out on the water that day.
Another adventurous win for the SF Mantis Chair! Visit our online store here to pick up one of the SF Mantis Chairs before they all get carried into the sunset by other paddle-boat drivers.
